Knut K. Vole began building his way up to Juvasshytta as early as in 1934, with a shovel, a pickaxe, and a wheelbarrow. Long story short, a road was constructed from Raubergstulen to Juvasshytta, and from there to the Ski Center. Today the road as paved from beginning to end. This year we open for traffic on May 8th. The road is privately owned, and all drivers must comply with the rules and regulations of the road.

Rules

The road may only be used by passenger cars subject to a toll. The ticket must be displayed clearly in the windscreen. Buses from Raubergstulen to Juvasshytta may only operate by prior arrangement with the road owner.
The use of construction machinery is prohibited.
Cars towing caravans are prohibited.
Breaches of these rules will result in a fine of NOK 1,000, which will be imposed in accordance with private law.
Driving requires special skill and caution on the part of the driver. Brakes and gears must be in good working order. Tyres, snow chains and similar equipment must be suitable for the weather and road conditions.
All travel along the road is at your own risk. The road owner disclaims all liability for any injury to persons or damage to property on or along the road. The road may be closed at short notice. The barrier is under video surveillance.
